PARLIAMENTARIANS GATHER IN MANILA

Hon. Isara Sunthornvut, member of Parliament, Thailand; Batanes Rep. Henedina Abad; Transportation Sec. Joseph Emilio Abaya; Senate President Franklin M. Drilon; Hon. Sam Rainsy, leader of the Cambodian opposition; Hon. Graham Watso, member of European Parliament, United Kingdom; and Rainer Adam, Friedrich Neumann Foundation Southeast and East Asia Regional Director are among the 120 liberal and democrat leaders who participated in the 120^th anniversary of the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats (CALD) held today/November 9, 2013 in the Manila Hotel.  Drilon reminds his fellow parliamentarians that exercising the core liberal values are more important than becoming the party in power.
